San Jose Stage Company is a non-profit resident arts organization which must rely on private contributions for support. Your support will bridge the gap between ticket and subscription revenues and the 50% more it actually costs to produce quality professional theatre. Volunteer
There are many ways in which you can become an integral part of San Jose Stage Company. Volunteers and interns are a crucial part of the workings of the theatre.
Front of House:
Volunteers are needed to help with ushering and manning the concession stand. Front of House volunteers must be available starting at one hour before the performance and are asked to dress in black and white. Email to volunteer!
Production:
Volunteers are needed to help on specific dates with load-in and strike of sets. Production volunteers should wear clothing and shoes that allow for safety and range of movement. Email to volunteer!
Administration:
Volunteers are needed to help with bulk mailings, season subscription organization, and general office maintenance. Administrative volunteers must be available between noon and five PM weekdays. Email to volunteer!
Internships:
San Jose Stage Company is proud to offer production internships in various disciplines, including stage management, costuming, lighting, sound, and scenic design. The Company's intern program provides a professional working environment and affords students and all interested the opportunity to work with some of the Bay Area's top designers. Some administrative internships are also available. Academic credit may be arranged with future employment in theatre as a goal. Email us for information!
Auditions:
San Jose Stage Company will host and audit the Theatre Bay Area 2008 South Bay Auditions on August 2, 2008. For information, contact Theatre Bay Area. San Jose Stage Company also audited the Theatre Bay Area 2008 General Auditions on January 12, 13 and 14, 2008. Information on our General Auditions will be posted soon. San Jose Stage Company operates under a BAT Tier III Equity contract and also Non-Union contracts. Call Back auditions are held throughout the year. Email us for more information!
